Welcome to Stickgrappler's Martial Arts Archives. This site is not out to win any awards and will not have fancy graphics to slow it down. What it will have is information I've found from various MA forums be it from the WWW or from Usenet and MA webpages. I will keep it plain vanilla backgrounds and keep the graphics to a minimum (if any). Some of the info is archived here and some of the info is linked from this site, think of it as a portal/jumping off point of sorts.
Also, I do not deal in MA politics such as OJKD vs. JKDC, or WT vs. VT vs. WC, etc. or even "...my style is better than yours...". The information is archived for all to share and learn in the spirit of the original posts and the original poster's willingness to share of their time and experience. Hope this helps your MA journey.
Lastly, I'm not out to make money from this website - you will not see any auctions or links to buy books from Amazon or B&N. However, you will get the banner on top and please accept my sincerest apologies for that. It's what keeps this site free for me. The Tripod banner will show up on every page. Also, sorry for the extra banner - that's from the redirect URL - it makes it easier for me to type the redirect URL instead of the real URL.
DISCLAIMER: All archived material on this site is for informational purposes only. Also, the material is copyrighted by the respective authors/posters/admins of the various websites and forums from which I archived the material. Should you want to quote the material, please contact the author for permission. I've worked hard to include the author/posters and where I've gotten the info from. Please give credit where credit is due.
This site is under HEAVY construction and will be updated as time permits.
I will keep about 3 month's worth of "What's New?" for faster loading of this page. Please click here for older "What's New?"

8/17/06 What can I say? Work is busier than ever with promotion and added duties -- all a good thing. Kids are growing up fast, not fast enough to train seriously yet, in maybe 2 more years. I thank everyone for their emails and have tried to answer many of them. There was a period that I was offline and Hotmail deleted all my incoming emails as well as my saved emails as I had not logged in for a long period -- my loss :-( My sincerest appreciation goes out to someholdsbarred of the Boxing forum on http://www.mma.tv for html'ing and pdf'ing Jack Dempsey's CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHTING. An unknown scanner had scanned in the whole book and made a pdf which made its rounds around the net. Someholdsbarred extracted the jpgs from the pdf converted them to web-sized jpgs and also ran the jpgs through an OCR to produce the text to the book instead of having the text as jpg, it is not truly text. He proofread it at least 3x before relasing his pdf. A truly herculean labor of love. Anyone who is on mma.tv should stop into the boxing forum and thank him for his hard work. He was kind enough to send me the html also for me to host. There are a few subjects on my site which I see many emails about and Dempsey's book is the 2nd most popular (or first - I'm not that sure yet without actually going to count the emails :-) behind 52 Hand Blocks. Jack Dempsey's CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHTING -- all on one page - pictures to come once I up them. For now I wanted to get the book up as fast as I could hence it all on one page. In time, I will break them down into chapters and that will be after I have ul'd the pix.
11/11/05 *bows deeply* ....... My sincerest apologies to all...busy with wife and 3 kids since i started this site...my career is finally taking off...I will do what I can when I can to update this site as usual with useful info I've come across....As always, not all information I've archived here will work for you, but as Bruce Lee once said, "Absorb what is useful..." :-) and remember enjoy and safe training to you! Recognition should also go out to m.g of the boxing forum on www.mma.tv also for transcribing chapters 3-19. My eternal gratitude goes out to him for starting this and for someholdsbarred for stepping up and doing the whole MA community a service. THANK YOU BOTH!! I had lost them when part 2 of my site went down. Someholdsbarred was kind enough to send them to me. I saved it on an external HD which crashed. I had found them again and wanted to continue my site as a blog instead (when you think about it, i was blogging back in 1999 before blog became a buzzword). And we get to the point that someholdsbarred html's it and sends them to me. Well there you go...the long and varied history of a book and how it made its way to the net :-)
